Plateau Killings: Youth in Abuja undertake sensitization campaign, with impressive attendance

As the killing in Plateau continue unabated, concerned Plateau youth in Abuja under the auspices of “The Concerned Plateau Youth”, have organised a sensitization rally and exercise to bring the security plight of Plateau people to the fray.

In a series of well coordinated events this week, youths led by several youth leaders including Kate Pam, Hon. Dachung Bagos, Friday Bako, Williams Gyang and a raft others. The youth encamped around Unity Fountain in Maitama, as they continued to sensitize and draw the attention of citizens to the plight.

In today’s exercise – two honourable members representative Bokkos/Mangu Federal consituency and Kangke/Kanam – Hon. Solomon Maren and Timothy Golu attended the event – leading weight to the exercise. They promised not to let these troubles to be swept under the carpet -saying that they will continue their task of profiling and seeking solutions to the problems.

It would be recalled, that over the past few months – attacks in Plateau have become almost a daily occurrence, with many families hacked to death and generations wiped out in such attacks.
