Plateau killings: Security Architecture of the State is Being Reviewed – Gov. Lalong

Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong on Wednesday said the security architecture of the state is being reviewed to close gaps identified during the unfortunate attack on some communities in the State.
Lalong also said relevant laws are being reviewed to ensure maximal penalties against such criminals.

,the Commissioner of Information and Communication made available to newsmen in Jos reads that Lalong spoke at the End-of-month Prayer organised at the Plateau State Government House Chapel in Jos, also condemned those exploiting the attack for political gains saying, “it is wrong to play politics with the lives of people”.
In his sermon titled “We hold the key” the Deputy Chaplain of the Chapel Rev. Dewan, took his reading from Jeremiah 29:7, urgeing believers to pray for peace of the land.
“we must agree to work in unity as we pray for our State” he added.
The Bible reading was taken by Prof Mathew Sule, Executive Secretary, SUBEB, Prof Yohana Izam, Vice Chancellor, Plateau State University, Bokkos and Hon Dan Manjang, Commissioner of Science and Technology.
There were prayers for peace led by Rev. Obed Dashan, COCIN Vice President, the representative of ECWA President, Rev Stephen Panya Baba and Rev Buba Aliyu amongst others,
Goodwill messages were given by the His Highness Agwom Izere and Justice Longji representing the Traditional Council and Judiciary respectively.
The church service was attended by Mrs Regina Lalong, wife of the Governor, Prof Sonni Tyode, Deputy Governor, Rufus Bature, the SGS and John Dafaan, the Chief of Staff and their spouses.
Others in attendance included Members of the State Executive Council, Permanent Secretaries, clergymen and heads of Boards and parastatals as well as members of the public
