Plateau killings: Gov Lalong pays medical bills of victims, calls for vigilance

Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong  on Tuesday  called on  citizens of the state  to be vigilant and courageous as some enemies of the state are out to instill fear in them.

Lalong made the call shortly after visiting victims of Sunday night attack, currently receiving treatment at at the Plateau Specialist Hospital and the Jos University Teaching Hospital Jos. 

Lalong who was represented by his Deputy Professor Sonni Tyoden sympathized with the victims who are being treated for gunshot wounds.

I condole  with the people of Plateau State over the heinous attack on Doi community of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, which occurred , 2nd September, 2018

This  government condemns this attack in it’s entirety and has instructed the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators, as they ensure the safety and security of the immediate environment and the entire state.

The Governor who called on citizens to be the brothers’ keeper assured that government will pay all hospital bills of the victims.

Our correspondent reports that 11 persons were killed by unknown gunmen in Lopandet Dwei Du Area of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday night, several persons were also injured
