Plateau group laud Lalong’s efforts aimed at taking youths off the streets

Plateau Regeneration Group (PRG ) on Wednesday hailed the Chairman of Northern Governors’ Forum, Simon Lalong for his plans to create opportunities to take the youths off the street.

Pam Datri the spokesman of the Group made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos .

The group also commended Governor Simon Lalong for recently holding an interactive session with youths in the state .
“We are proud of Governor Lalong for his efforts to close the communication gap between the leaders and the led in Plateau and the Nation . “

“As a group we are proud of of Governor Lalong for recently directing the Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development to ensure that the process of electing a new leadership for the Plateau Youth Council commences immediately now that COVID-19 has subsided.”

“We call on youths to cooperate and work with the Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development Hon Victor Lapang to ensure that they elect credible leaders that will represent their interests.”

The group hinted that the Governor Simon Lalong led administration has made tremendous marks in youth engagement through his youth- friendly programmes, which in turn, checked restiveness in the state.

“We thank Governor Lalong who has engaged youths in the state and made them job creators through different youth empowerment and wealth creation programmes of his administration.

“We also thank the youths in the state for keying into the state government’s programmes. This shows the cordial relationship between government and different youth and student groups in the state,” he said.

The Group also lauded Hon Victor Lapang Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development for working so hard to unite youths in the state .
