Plateau our Heritage, POH, has formerly inaugurated it’s political and conference team as part of efforts to contributing to the development of Plateau state and it’s people.

The inauguration, took place at the POH secretariat in Jos, the state capital at the weekend.
Performing the ceremony, Chairman of the POH, Hon. Alex Kwapnoe said the essence of the body was geared towards the actualization of the unity and harmonious living and development of the state by mobilising all the ethnic nationalities of the state to foster peace.

He reminded the team that the dreams of the POH can only be achieved if the people can set aside their differences and chart a new course for a better Plateau.

He reiterated that the choice of the membership of the team for the task were on account of their individual standings, competence, credibility and professionalism; which he stressed would engender growth and development of the state.

Summing up his remarks, the chairman rhetorically put it thus: conclusion, let me leave us with these few lines, the prosperity of Plateau state is our collective prosperity, whereas its retrogression is our retrogression.
“Therefore, we must all choose if we want to work toward a prosperous or retrogressive state”

Earlier in an opening remarks, the convener of POH, Hon. Pam Ayuba Dangwong stressed the need for members to braze up for the task ahead which he observed were enormous.
According to him, the POH’s aim and objectives at inception was to “promote, preserve and protect “ the ideals of a Plateau of the peoples’ dream and not a state that is driven by sentiments.
The POH, he stressed, would promote good neighbourliness and enhanced cultural growth as that was the spirit behind it’s eventual take off about six months ago.

Accepting to chair the team, the Chairman, Nankin Bagudu noted that the team was coming at a time the state was in dire need of a vibrant voice.

According to him, Plateau state is in deep mess and assured that the team is ready to take the bull by the horn, only if the people have realised this fact and are accepting to shun all forms of sentiments that was responsible for the retarded growth of the state.
Goodwill messages were extended by Dr. Chalya Lar, Hon. Diket Plang and Nanle Gujor; all of whom appreciated the coming of POH which they agreed would be the driving force for a prosperous Plateau.

The inaugural meeting was well attended by members except for a few apologies by few members who expressed desire to be part of it; except for other important unforeseen engagements.
