Plateau group calls on Dalung to apologize or resign over comments on Lalong

Plateau Regeneration Group on Sunday condemned the comments of the minister of Youths and sports Solomon Dalung  over the renaming of the     newly commissioned road in Jos after President Muhammadu Buhari”calling on him to apologize or resign.

The group in a statement signed by the Public relations officer of the group  Pam Datri lamented why a Minister who is serving under the current administration would do that to his principal stressing that  the comment by the minister is a confirmation that he is being used by the opposition PDP to rubbish the gains made by the APC on account of President Buhari’s visit to the state.

The group also supports the stand of Plateau commissioner of information and communication and described the comments by the minister as the “gibberish of an attention seeker bereft of logic and fact,”

He said the Lalong administration is proud to name the stretch of road from Maraban Jamaa round about to Taen roundabout after the President because it is the tradition the world over to name projects after the dignitaries that commission them.

The statement reads that it explains the road from Polo round-about through kabong (gada Biu) overhead bridge to new Zaria road stadium which ends at Farin gada round-about was named after former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The group also called on Dalung to publicly apologize for his comments or resign as Minster of the federal republic

Dalung has never won any election all through his political voyage and has no political relevance

The group further said Dalung is intellectually bereft of ideas
