News available to ViewPointNigeria indicates that the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Hon. Simon Lalong, has passed an order to remove any indiscriminate road bumps placed by unauthorized persons within the state.

He made this statement during the commissioning of 18 operational vehicles for the vehicle inspection department of the Ministry of Works and Transport at the VIO testing ground in Jos.

Speaking he said, “Let me use this avenue to express my displeasure at the indiscriminate erection of road bumps and other unwholesome activities on our major highways by unauthorized persons”.

The Governor said the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing had constituted a committee with officials of the state to remove all unauthorized bumps.

Furthermore, he said a bill for a law to establish an agency for Road Traffic Administration and Vehicle Inspection is in the State House of Assembly for consideration.
