The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has petitioned the  governorship election petition tribunal  sitting in Jos over the documents produced  and certified  for its candidate, Senator GNS Pwajok, who is prosecuting  his  case  against the election of Governor Simon Lalong were  not signed  by any staff of the electoral body.

Chief Robert Clarke (SAN) leading other 15 lawyers during the hearing  of petition Number EPT/PL/GOV/02/2015 at the weekend, told the tribunal that the documents certified for the party by the Independent National Electoral Commission to prosecute  the petition before the tribunal were fake.

“What we discovered  is that all the bundles of documents brought to us by INEC that were duly certified were all fake,’’ he said.

Clarke told the tribunal that the CTCs were aimed  at truncating their case, wondering why the CTCs were stamped  but no physically signing  on them.

The PDP Counsel  argued that he did not want to believe that it was deliberate, saying that if they were not being lucky  they  could have tendered the documents and would have been thrown away.
