Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Azi, has yesterday called on the state government to allow for the relocation of the Jos north Council Secretariat to its permanent site which is located around Dogon Agogo area of LGA.

 The Hon. Speaker made the call  at the council’s temporary site, popularly known as JMDB during the swearing-in of the  caretaker  management committee chairman of Jos north LGA of the state.

 According to him, the temporary site is not conducive saying members of the house tabled the issue for deliberations, adding that the relocation would give room for more offices to accommodate staff.

  Azi. However called on the people of the state and Jos north in particular to give the maximum support to Governor Lalong, saying their support would help to yield development in the state.

 On the peace in the state, the speaker said “Peace is paramount for any meaningful development to strive and if there is peace in Jos North then there is peace in the whole of the state.”

 Azi tasked members of the management committee to take the people along, rather than enriching themselves.

 He also reprimanded them on the attitude of corruption, saying the APC is a government that will bring change and “will not tolerate any corrupt act.”

 Also in her comments during the event, the management committee chairman of the council, Hon. Theresa Azi, called on the members of the management committee to commit themselves to the task giving to them, calling everyone in Jos north to pray for their success.
