Governorship Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Plateau state in the forthcoming 2019 Governorship Election Hon  Sam Nankpak Abashe on Friday said administration would provide dividends of salaries to the people of Plateau if elected .

“My vision is for a Plateau state that is well governed with  stability, peace and security for all  of its citizens and inhabitants .

He made this known while speaking with newsmen in Jos the Plateau s capital .

Abashe said ” If elected as Governor I would work towards sustainable   peace and development in Plateau state “.

” From its past glory as one of the leading heterogeneous melting pot states of Nigeria and a magnet for tourists and visitors ,Plateau state is now known internationally as a theatre of unrestrained killings ,insecurity and Mayhem ,communities no longer live in peace with each other ,unless the fundamental issue of assuring peace and security is comprehensively and sustainably addressed ,no development plans can be designed or implemented successful for Plateau state, My proposal shall be to make a comprehensive and inclusive effort towards inclusive socio economic change and achieving sustainable peace and stability by firstly , pursuing genuine inter community reconciliation ,confronting and eliminating extremist and radical ideologies from our communities ,tackling poverty and wealth creation etc .

I will also ensure that Government shall serve as an enabler providing an enabling environment in terms of security ,policies ,infrastructure and even financing where possible in order to support people to leverage resources such as manpower ,land ,resources, ICT,etc to generate incomes and financial benefit for themselves ,their families and communities and eventually benefitting the State .

I shall also work with the civil service unions to ensure that our staffing is trained up,restructured and transitioned to become a modern work force reflective of the 21st century in terms of working tools ,skills ,abilities and numbers ,where necessary we shall make planned transitions of tasks and functions to ICT and other automated platforms to give the state long termcost savings .

He also said the productive activity sectors that my government shall invest in would include ,Agriculture ,Tourism and Solid Minerals ,Agriculture remains the largest area of economic activity for thr majority of the population and strategic investments in post -harvest treatment and storage ad well as value addition can significantly improve farmers incomes

My administration would also invest in infrastructure ,eduction and also provide more dividends of democracy to the people of Plateau .
