Plateau Gov. Mutfwang Salutes Prof. Angela Freeman MIRI on Her 65th Birthday

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Angela Miri, former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja, on her 65th birthday.

In a celebratory message signed by Mr Gyang Bere his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Governor Mutfwang lauded Professor Miri as a trailblazer and an esteemed stateswoman whose remarkable contributions to education and public service have left an indelible mark.

As the first female Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja, Governor Mutfwang said Prof. Miri has set a high standard of excellence and leadership for many to follow.

He commended Prof. Miri for her dedication and commitment to public service, notably during her tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja and as the Chairperson of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU).

He said her exemplary service to Plateau State, including her roles as Commissioner for Health, Education, and Chairperson of the Governing Council of Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin-Ladi, are a testament to her steadfast leadership and integrity.

The Governor praised Prof. Miri’s transformative leadership, unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people, education, and community development, as well as tireless dedication to improving the fortunes of those who crossed her path.

On behalf of the government, and the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Angela Miri’s and prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, joy, and happiness as she continues to serve, mentor, and provide wise counsel towards human capacity development in Plateau and Nigeria at large.
