Plateau – Ex-Immigration boss Paradang condemns Mangu killings ,urge security operatives to arrest Perpetrators

Mr David Paradang, former Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has condemned in totality the recent attacks in some communities in Mangu local government council of Plateau state.

Paradang a Stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos reads that “I extend my deepest sympathies to Miskham Muaghavul, the Chairman of Mangu LGA, the entire Mughavul community, and indeed Plateau state, on the dastardly and gruesome murder of dozens of peace-loving people from the two communities of Fungzai and Kubwat a couple of days ago.

The statement reads that ” The series of unrelenting and unprovoked attacks on these communities is deeply concerning and unacceptable. It is disheartening to witness such violence and loss of innocent lives in our society.

In his words ” It is with great concern that we acknowledge the well-planned and targeted attacks on our people, aimed at driving them from their ancestral lands. “

” The recent attacks in Kombun are yet another example of the unrelenting violence and destruction that has plagued several communities and Local Government areas in Plateau state.”

He added that ” It is evident that the attackers are taking advantage of the lull in proactive security measures that appear to characterize this transition period. This is a worrying trend that requires urgent attention, as it threatens the peace and stability of our society.”

Paradang added that ” It is clear that more needs to be done beyond press statements to ensure the safety and security of our communities.”

According to him ” Intelligence sharing and peace-building meetings between Mangu Local Government and adjoining LGAs up to Nasarawa and Kaduna States are essential steps towards being ahead of these murderous herdsmen. This approach will enable us to better understand the root causes of these attacks and work towards finding lasting solutions.”

” It is our collective responsibility to defend our ancestral lands and ensure the safety and security of our people. We must come together and work towards a peaceful and just society where everyone can live without fear of violence and destruction. “

May God comfort the immediate families of those who lost dear family members, and may He grant us the grace and wisdom to address this situation.,he further added.
