Plateau State Elders Forum of All Progressive Congress (APC) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointment of one of their own Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The Elders Forum made this known to Media Practitioners in Abuja during congratulatory visit to Senator George Akume in his resident Abuja.
While congratulating Senator George Akume on his well-deserved appointment as SGF, Former governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua C. Dariye who led the delegation thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing one of them.

“We sincerely thanked President Tinubu for appointing one of us from North-Central to serve in his cabinet as SGF”.We are thankful for the opportunity given to us from North-Central “.We are grateful and continue to pray and support your administration to succeed “.

The Elders forum congratulated Senator George Akume on his well-deserved appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

In a congratulatory message, the Elders Forum thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for considered Senator George Akume at the centre of his government. According to them, Senator George Akume is competent and well experienced to serve as SGF. He will use the wealth of his experience to deliver his mandate as SGF.

The Elders Forum also thanked President Tinubu for appointing one of them from the North-Central. Senator George Akume is from Benue State which is part of the North-Central Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria. He is qualified for the SGF Position due his competency and capacity to deliver.

“We sincerely thanked Mr. President for the appointment well-deserved. As Elders Forum of our party in Plateau State, we are grateful for the opportunity so far given to one of us from North-Central. Be reassured of our support always “. North-Central gave highest votes to President Tinubu during the Presidential election.

While congratulating Senator George Akume, the Elders tasked him to ensure he deliver his mandate. “We will never relent in giving you support to succeed While ensuring you carry everybody along part of governance especially some of us from other states who worked tirelessly for emergence of President Tinubu”.

Responding, Senator George Akume thanked Plateau State Elders Forum for coming to congratulate them. He assured them to carry everybody along part of governance especially those who worked harder for emergence of President Tinubu. “I am overwhelmed by this visit. You have demonstrated love and unity of purpose for the betterment of North-Central and entire Nigeria. I am grateful for your coming” he said.
