Plateau State’s Deputy Governor, Hon. Josephine Piyo, extended warm wishes to Prof. Angela Miri, the former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja, as she celebrates her 65th birthday.
Ngo Piyo in a felicitation message signed by her Chief Press Secretary, Martha Nyam praised Prof. Miri describing her as a distinguished academician and a respected figure in the state and country for her significant contributions to education and public service.
She said as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja, Prof. Miri has established a noteworthy standard of excellence and exemplary leadership for women and young girls.
Piyo also highlighted Prof. Miri’s role as the Chairperson of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) during her tenure was a testament to her dedication to service and integrity.
She conveyed her wishes for a fulfilling year, abundant in happiness and good health for Prof. Miri.
