By Golok Nanmwa ,Jos
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Aspirants Forum (PAPCAF) Plateau State, Hon. Diket Plang has called on citizens of the country to stand against the call for revolution against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Hon. Plang made this known on Monday in Jos the state capital during a press briefing and urged Plateau people to support the APC Government in it’s effort to restore permanent peace in the country.
In his words “The call for revolution in Nigeria is not only retrogressive but capable of undermining our peace in the country. The position of Mr Sowore and his sponsors is a call for mutiny and a deliberate attempt to incite the public against a democratically elected government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
“We view the call by Mr Sowore and his cohorts for a revolution as condemnable, undemocratic, unpatriotic coming at the time when the leadership of the country is doing everything possible to restore peace and order.”
“Nigeria is a maturing democracy where elections are held periodically by the laws of the land. Therefore, the only type of revolution know by the laws of Nigeria is the ballot box.
” We are appealing to peace loving Nigerians who believe in the corporate existence of our country to patriotically reject in its totality any call or incitement from any quarter against the present democratically elected government under the leadership of President Buhari.”
He reiterate their unflinching support for the leadership of Nigeria Northern Governor’s Forum under the Chairmanship of Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, the Nigeria Senate and President Muhammadu Buhari APC Government.
Plang called on Plateau citizens irrespective of party, religious and ehnic affiliations to disregard the unpatriotic call for revolution and channel their energy towards supporting government’s efforts in restoring lasting peace on Plateau and Nigeria.
“All Nigerians should stand up with one voice and vehemently reject the merchantsof crisis such as Sowore and rally round the present leadership in the country in proffering constrictive criticism for the betterment of government in general.”
