The Plateau State Government has reiterated its commitment to girl child education and women empowerment. The Director General, Research and Strategy, Professor John Wade made this known in Jos during a research meeting that is geared towards developing a state policy for girl child education in Plateau state.

The Director General of Research And Strategy Plateau state, says the state is prepared to develop a policy for the Girl Child Education and Women empowerment in the state, adding that it was in the campaign promises of the present administration to ensure that women are given the attention they deserve in the society.

He advised against discrimination based on gender.
