As the contest for who will occupy the Little Rayfield Seat of Power in Plateau State to succeed the incumbent Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong who is serving his last tenure, a group under the auspice of New Plateau Advocates Pankshin and Kanke has called on the business mogul and Philanthropist, Chief Kefas Ropshik fondly referred to as “Kefiano” to contest for the number one seat of the State.

The Group made this known in a Press Conference at Kathryn’s Garden Pankshin stated that ‘Kefiano’ has done a lot and demonstrated he is capable of running the affairs of the State and put it on the path of development and prosperity.

The group said its conclusion was reached after an intense perusal of profiles of most of the current candidates showing interest in the First Citizen Seat of the state, come 2023.

According to the group “The personality we are referring to here today, has never held any political office, but has proven himself as an outstanding achiever in meeting the yearnings of society and people of Plateau State. He has received various recognitions and awards to attest to these facts; from the academia, unions, professional bodies social and religious organizations just to mention but a few”

A CLARION CALL ON CHIEF WUNGAK KEFAS ROPSHIK (KEFIANO) TO CONTEST FOR THE GOVERNORSHIP SEAT OF PLATEAU STATE COME 2023

We welcome you to this epoch making event. We are The New Plateau Advocates – NPA Pankshin and Kanke LGAs.

OUR MISSION
The unpleasant socioeconomic status of the state has prompted us to undertake this programme. A programme which by the grace of God will liberate Plateau State holistically. We hope to be able to become the true drivers of productive change and prosperity if the peoples of the state will support us today.

OUR VISION:
A new Plateau where graduates and non graduates will be able to find the appropriate jobs, conducive and viable platforms to survive and grow. NPA visualises a new Plateau with a steady and massive internally generated income and inflow of investment in the Mining, Hospitality, Agro-Allied and Digital Technology advancement and prosperity.

OBJECTIVES
To sell to us a candidate with the requisite qualifications and productive capacity to do the job.

To bring our mind to the reality on ground and provide solutions to addressing the obvious challenges faced by the state.

To seek the support of all for the future of young persons left to roam the streets in spite of their talents and creative potentials to prevent further vulnerability to crime and the use by mischiemakers to papertrate mehem and vices.

To build a detribalised, united and peaceful Plateau.

To Restore, sustain and develop our Cultural and Traditional Values as a people.

To truly live and promote the state as a peaceful and tourism friendly, active and appropriate as a global tourism location by the year 2025.

To address gender inequality and participation challenges in the state.

To ensure that the poor and needy are not abandoned, stigmatized and allowed to die because of their condition.

To ensure that farmers get the value of their farm produce (sweat).

To ensure that governance is responsive, receptive and grassroot compatible.

To ensure the adherence of the laws of the state, Nigeria and the united nations all the times.

Finally to ensure that everyone on the Plateau is fully protected wherever they live. So long as they are peaceful and productive for the common good of all.

CAN WE FIND A TEAM LEADER FOR THE NEW PLATEAU WE DESIRE?

The answer to the above inquest is not far fetched.

Our conclusion was reached after an intense perusal of profiles of most of the current candidates showing interest in the First Citizen Seat of the state, come 2023.

We looked for a personality that can do the job. One that should be well fitted. Not a square peg in a round hole, who would only end up complaining and giving excuses or laying blame on past government due to lack of capacity to deliver.

THE CAPACITY OF OUR CHOICE

He is one of the most youth friendly personality on the Plateau.

• A notable caring and fatherly figure to the less-previleged children and young persons in the state.
• An ardent believer of the Plateau project and brand, which has to do with the popular slogan “Home of Peace and Tourism”.
• He supports creativity, skills, innovations and interest of any Plateau person.
• Currently he is the number one supporter of the entertainment industry in Plateau State today.
• Currently he is the number one supporter of the Plateau United Football Club. A contribution to sport development in the State.
• He has the capacity to personally drag investors globally into Plateau State because of his wide international and local experience as a businessman and as a good influencer.
• He remains the best candidate to productively harness the human and material potentials of the State. Unlike most other candidates he has employed, developed and expanded his personal business exponentially.
• He has a proven record of business come-back. That is, he was able to build and rebuild a business no matter the prevailing challenges. Such a one can be better fitted to manage a troubled state and national economy.
• It is on record (public opinion) that he is a kind, caring and responsive manager of human resource.
• A very humble and reliable personality in spite of his societal status and success in business.
• An accessible personality. The youth see in him this virtue as one with the right temperament for good leadership.
• A listener and one not quick to action.
• A patient and an understanding personality.
• One that respects the traditional institutions and the cultural values of all, at all times.
• A highly detribalised and non-biased personality.
• An industrially conscious personality. This is a great trait lacking in the lives of most Nigerian political leaders. A personality who had no interest in wasting of wealth but by harnessing the available human resource, row materials to create jobs and wealth for the State and for people. Which makes him more appropriate for the current economic realities of the state and nation.
• He is a notable all rounder: Has strong relationships with different strata of influence in Nigeria and elsewhere.
• Simple and committed to tasks.
• A dependable leader whose word is his bond.
• A spiritually committed individual who is always ready to contribute to the welfare of the leaders in Faith.
• A Mass Communicator and an economic bridge builder.
• Has a record as a Mass Communication graduate who has impacted his people and the poor most in the state till date.
• Currently an employer of labor
• Has a not-for-profit organisation known as Kefiano Global Foundation – KGF, where Orphans and Vulnerable children are given nutritional, psychosocial, health and educational care with scholarship content to complete their education for all of them.
  As part of his humanitarian virtues he specially supports 2000 widows annually with basic care needs and continual adoption of vulnerable and orphaned children due to crisis on the the Plateau.
• He conducted free and qualitative medical outreach programmes which includes treatments for over 59 thousand people. Also, comprehensive surgeries for 29000 people all over the state. These free medical treatments were conducted by a team of 32 doctors/specialists from Plateau and in diaspora.
• He personally facilitated the release of 127 prisoners from the Jos Correctional Facility.
• He supports crises affected individuals and families known as the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with relief materials.
• One with capacity to relate with all devide (Religion, tribal, regional and social).
• A ready mentor to young persons and the girl child
• A gender friendly and compatible personality
• For the records, his only service at Benue State University was so outstanding and memorable to his peers.

That Chief Wungak Kefas Ropshik, who is the personality we have been referring to is being called upon to indicate his intention to contest for the seat of the executive governor of Plateau State come 2023. We want to urge all of us to join in this worthy call. We also seek that all support him so that we can achieve the New Plateau. The Peace and Tourism Plateau. The International Plateau. The Happy Plateau. The Economically Liberated Plateau. The Future Global Tourism Heaven of Africa. And the New Plateau Our Dreams.
