The good people of Plateau State. It has become pertinent for PIDAN to once again reach out to you as the State gets ready for another round of elections on Saturday 18-03-2023.
PIDAN wishes to seize this opportunity to express its profound appreciation to you for your civil disposition and efforts which saw to a peaceful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. We hope that we shall all be happy by the time that all legal issues connected to the last elections have been dealt with by the tribunals.
In line with our resolve to ensure that all elections in the State are fair and violence free, PIDAN wishes to appeal to the leadership of all development and associations and civil society organizations in the State to mobilize their subjects and groups to come out en mass to vote in the 18-03-2023 Governorship and State Assembly elections. We should also educate and mobilize community vigilante to work with the law enforcement agents to ensure a fair and violence free exercise.
We are counting on INEC to live up to our expectations by conducting a free and fair elections.
Given the comprehensive nature in which the candidates have campaigned, PIDAN is of view that those who may not be satisfied with the outcome, should resort to legal means to seek redress.
As leaders we should advise the candidates against any action or actions that are likely to cause the breach of our peace and unity, and to remind them that we have no other place to run to than Plateau State.
PIDAN looks forward to working with whoever emerges the winner of the Governorship ticket of the State. We look forward to a free and violence free elections.
