It is a thing of joy for commandant Rotjimwa Zuzanne Yavala, her children, family friends and well wishers as they turn out to witness and celebrate her pulling out parade from the Nigerian security and civil defense coups (NSCDC) in Bauchi state where she was serving as the Bauchi state commandant of the Nigerian civil defense corps before her retirement.

It was a successful years of service for Commandant Suzanne Rotjimwa Yavala as she retires after putting In 35 good years of service and dedication to her father land Nigeria, fulfilling the provable saying that says “what a man can do a woman can do better”.


Commandant Rotjimwa join the Nigerian civil defense coup in 1975 and gradually she rose to the peak of her career and became a state commandant.

She was the first Commandant of the Nigerian civil defense corps in Plateau state.


Rotjimwa Yavala was born on the 26-10-1960 in Kabwir, Kanke local government area of Plateau state.
She served in many states as commandant which include; Akwa Ibom and Delta state and she also served as zonal commander Markurdi zone H and zone C Bauchi.
Before her retirement she was the commandant intelligent in Bauchi.

She is married to her late husband Barrister Emmanuel Yavala who hails from Taraba state and they have 4 children and 6 grand children.


Commandant Rotjimwa Yavala is an epitome of hard-work, a very humble and diligent woman, a role model to many young girls, whose dedication to her work has contributed immensely in combatting crime and keeping the country together as a security personal.

Rotjimwa Yavala has B. Sc in social service from the prestigious University of Jos and has attended many short courses and seminars in the cause of her service.

Wishing her more fruitful and prosperous years ahead.
