It would be recalled that the decision to build the bridge became a necessity following the escalation of traffic congestion within Jos and Bukuru metropolis. A situation which many say may be as a result of the Boko Haram scourge in Northern Nigeria, which forced tens of thousands of ethnic minorities to desert their previous places of abode in Northern Nigeria to seek safer haven on the Plateau.
