Some Persons affected by violent crisis in Kakpwis Federal Ward Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau State have received the financial support donated to them by Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Bola Tinubu, through her pet project, Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) meant for families affected by the series of attacks in Plateau State in recent times.
Pharm. Chun John Ezekiel a Director of the Plateau State Abuja Liaison Directorate while disbursing the funds the Beneficiaries at Government Secondary School Kakpwis Barkin Ladi LGA appreciated the First Lady for her philanthropic gesture to the People who have come under series of attacks that caused the deaths of many and rendered many homeless.
Pharm. Chun John whose name was unsolicitedly included among the list of the Beneficiaries of the N500 million by the First Lady without hesitation made sure persons genuinely affected by crisis in the area and have been facing hardships were meticulously selected from Kakpwis and Kakpen-Ket Wards without any form of interference to benefit from the First Lady’s Financial Support and took another giant step by supporting the Nigeria’s First Lady with a donation of One Million to other prospective beneficiaries.
“We ensured only persons affected by crisis were selected among thousands that are going through similar hardship due to the violent crisis that engulfed the two Wards.
He said fifty (50) persons were selected from the two Wards of the Federal Ward to benefit from the one (1) million naira while fifty others are still expected to benefit from the one million naira has donated awaiting list of new beneficiaries for disbursement. He said he chose to disburse cash directly to those affected by crisis to ensure that no one is shortchanged.
He called on all Plateau citizens to pray and support the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to succeed.
In his remarks at the brief event, Senator Simon Mwadkwon lauded the Nigeria’s first Lady for the unprecedented humanitarian intervention provided the people who have faced most daring and challenging times in terms of the insecurity which has adversely affected their means of livelihood. He said the donation has nothing to do with politics because it is about the safety and lives of the people.
He lauded Pharm. Chun John for doing what he described as “noble, correct and honorable”. He urged government at all levels to take concrete steps to safeguard lives and alleviate the sufferings of victims of violent attacks.
Mary Simon and Mark Pam who were beneficiaries appreciated the Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Bola Tinubu for identifying with them in their most difficult moments and providing them with financial support to ameliorate their situation.
They prayed God to guide and open greater doors to her as she continue to provide the necessary support to her Husband, the President and impact lives of Nigerians irrespective of their tribal, religious and political inclinations through her well-thought of pet project “Renewed Hope Initiative”.
