PDP Receives over 2,400 Decampees from APC in Kampani Zurak, Bashar District of Wase LGA

It was all smiles, wild jubilation and celebration among the People’s Democratic Party, PDP as it received over 2,400 persons who defected from the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) into its fold.

Chairman PDP Kampani Ward, Tijjani Isa welcomed all people present and later said the Chairman of the decampees has been a political heavyweight who has given the PDP tough time when in power. He said he is extremely happy to receive him and promised to work for the success of PDP.

PDP chairman Wase LGA, Alh. Nasiru Abba said he is the happiest person receiving such valuable defectors. He said they should join hands to rebuild PDP.

The decampees who spoke through their Chairman, Alh. Salisu Jarman Kampani after he got his membership card and burning broom denouncing APC said they are tired of APC inability to fulfill its campaign promises, deception, lack of clear direction, gross incompetence, social injustices, inability to curb the incessant killings and selective fight against corruption. He said there is no truth in APC as the party is full of deceit, lies and the days of APC in Kampani Zurak is over, the result will be seen during the forthcoming Local government elections. He will work for the success of PDP at all levels he said.

He said having observed this administration, it is obvious that the government at all levels have no vision and sense of direction. He said people are dying on daily basis, criminals are terrorizing the people on roads, Boko Haram are still destroying innocent lives and the economy is collapsing.

He said when they supported this government we thought they will make life better but are destroying existing developments they inherited. You can see the economic hardships being experienced and the total disrespect for the rules of law.
Many people in the government are sacred when it comes to fight against corruption.
We are experiencing the hardships never experienced in Nigeria before.
Look at the level of partiality in appointments and complete disrespect for federal character as provided for in the Constitution.

He said the APC doesn’t mean well for Nigerians.

We are joining you to change the deceptive change from the Ward to the National level starting with the Local government elections in Plateau State. As a prominent person in this area, I will not cheat my people and my defection with many others after due consultation with our people is for the common good of Kampani Zurak he concluded.

Former Information Commissioner Plateau State and Chairman Wase LGA, Alh. Mohammed Abubakar Badu (Dan-Malikin Wase) said he is fulfilled and elated with what he is seeing and hearing.
He said PDP is ready, willing and able to wipe the tears, pains and agony APC has inflicted on Nigerians.
He urged the people to accept the decampees and work with them. He asked them to vote PDP from Wards to the Presidential level for better representative and good governance.

A House of Representatives Aspirant for Wase Federal Constituency under the PDP, Alh. Umar Suleiman Rabo (Barden Wase) said the PDP was growing Nigeria before the coming of the APC in 2015 who are now eroding the values and goodwill PDP built for the nation.
He said if supported and he wins, he will ensure he develop the Local government and ensure positive grassroot developments.
I will ensure positive transformation if elected.

I will sponsor people-oriented Bills in line with the yearnings and aspirations of my people and nation at large.
I am a grassroot man who know the problems facing my people and will ensure solutions are given to the numerous problems and challenges our people are facing. I will ensure effective and quality representation in Wase Federal Constituency are entrenched if elected he concluded.

The PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Wase LGA, Alh. Saidu Musa said he will provide selfless and sacrificial service to the people.

He said his passion is to see that Wase LGA is developed to compete favorably well with other LGAs in the State and Nation. I will ensure there is rapid and aggressive growth and development in Wase LGA if elected he concluded.

It was over 2 hours drive from Bashar Town to Zurak village were kids, teenagers and the elder were seen outside their homes in villages to Zurak who were chanting “PDP” PDP” “PDP”……. continuously, an indication of PDP wide acceptability and popularity of the party in the areas.

A House of Assembly Aspirant and former Supervisory Councillor, Hon. Usman Yakubu said PDP remains the most visionary, focused, people-oriented and purpose-driven party. He urged the people to support the party and ensure its victory in the future starting with the Local government elections. If elected as State legislator with my wealth of experience and knowledge of the societal needs, I will give quality representation and ensure bills that will promote the yearnings of the people are sponsored he concluded.

The event which was supposed to hold at PDP Ward Office Premises was moved to Kampani Football Field owing to the huge crowd that turned up.

The event was well attended.
