RE: PYAM CHIEFDOM PDP ELDERS FORUM ENDORSED HON SOLOMON Maren.

Our attenthashave has been drawn to a statement credited to the media team of Hon Solomon Maren member representing Mangu/ Bokkos Federal Constituency, trending on the social media of his (Maren) purported endorsement by Pyam Chiefdom, PDP, Elders Forum and after due consultations with party leaders and critical stakeholders of the party in Pyam Chiefdom, we wish to keep the records straight and categorically state as follows:

1. That party leaders in Pyam Chiefdom, from the Ward, LGA and State levels were not part of the visit to Hon Solomon Maren and not a party to the purported endorsement.
2. That the visit to Hon Maren by some few Elders of the rty based in Jos, was for their individual and personal interest and has nothing to do with the views and opinions of PDP, members of Pyam Chiefdom, on Hon Solomon Maren if not they would have consulted and carry along other critical Elders of the party based in Pyam Chiefdom during the visit.
3. That the party leaders and critical stakeholders of Pyam Chiefdom, couldn’t have contemplate endorsing Hon Solomon Maren knowing fully well that he deliberately sidelined party delegates and critical stakeholders of Pyam Chiefdom, during the last primary election and have deemed deem it into a to come to Pyam Chiefdom, to meet with the party and also to reach out to two of our sons that contested against him Barr Umar Mantu and Hon Jelka Danlami and their loyalist as well as former aspirants for various positions since after the primary election to solicit for support even as the flag bearer of our great party (PDP), and how can someone in his right frame of mind think of endorsing such a person doesn’t recogniser our value and importance?
4. That the party leaders in Pyam Chiefdom, Elders and teeming members are patiently waiting to see when Hon Maren will deem it necessary or important to come to Pyam Chiefdom and meet us and until after that then we will know whether to endorse him or not.
5. That in as much as we are not our leaders and party members individually or in a group to visit and express their views about the House member, however, such visits and opinions shouldn’t be covered deceit, mischief and misrepresentation of facts for selfish interest and in the light of this, we wish to categorically state that party leaders and critical stakeholders of Pyam Chiefdom, hereby, disassociate ourselves from the purported endorsement of Hon Solomon Maren ahead of the 2023 election.
6. That our teeming party members across the 6 Federal Wards of Pyam Chiefdom, should disregard the purported endorsement as the party and critical Elders have not met to decide on such an important decision.
7. That critical decisions for endorsement of candidates of our great party will not be taken in Jos, but in Pyam Chiefdom, through due process and not shrouded in secret
   deceit and by proxy by a few individuals but with the full consent of the party leadership at all levels as well as critical stakeholders collectively for the overall success of our great party PDP, in the 2023 general election.

Payam Chiefdom PDP Elders debunked Endorsing Hon. Solomon Maren for 2023
