OPSH donates 5 bores to Plateau Communities

News available to ViewPointNigeria indicates that Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) has embarked on a military-civil campaign by donating 5 boreholes to some Plateau communities.

The Commander of OPSH, Major General Roger Nicholas disclosed this in Wase LGA of Plateau State as he commissioned one of the boreholes.

Maj-Gen. Nicholas explained that the 5 boreholes OPSH has constructed include two boreholes in Mahanga, two in Riyom, one in Bokkos and one in Wase Local Government Area.

Speaking at the commissioning, he said, “The money was from the military, precisely from the Defence Headquarters, and I want to assure you as much as we get more money we would do more, we will dig more boreholes, we would do it phase by phase on quarterly basis”.

He stated that the construction of the boreholes has encouraged people to cooperate with the military.

Speaking, Maj-Gen. Nicholas said, “ the campaign is a way of winning the hearts of the people, we reached out to the people, and it has helped, it brings people closer to the military.”

The commander further said OPSH was doing the work in areas with security challenges, and if the command has many resources it can go round all the communities in Plateau.
