It would be recalled that earlier this week, the younger Obasanjo who leads in Platoon in Adamawa state, was said to have been injured during a fierce battle between Boko Haram and the Nigerian security forces. After the incident, Lt. Col. Obasanjo was initially rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Jimeta, Yola for treatment, before being flown to Jos, Plateau State for proper medicare.

At the time of filling this report, speculations were rife that he may be at the 3rd Amoured division Medical Centre or the NAF Hospital in Jos, but other sources close to the family have said that the injured officer may have already been treated and discharged and may simply be waiting in Jos, to rejoin the battle against insurgents in the frontline.
