Northern Governor’s Forum Chairman Lalong Condoles Daily Trust editor over Loss of Father

Plateau State Governor and Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has condoled with the family of Hamza Idris, Editor of the Daily Trust Newspaper over the death of his father Late Alaramma Idris Hamza who died at the age of 77.

Governor Lalong said he was saddened by the death of Alaramma Idris Hamza who was reported to have died in Kano while receiving medical attention.

According to the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Lalong described the late Islamic Cleric who lived throughout his lifetime in Jos-Plateau State as man who demonstrated exemplary conduct and also mentored both his children and others in the fear of Allah as well as dedicated his years to community service.

Governor Lalong said “on behalf of the Government and people of Plateau State, I share in your grief at this moment and pray that God forgives him while giving the family the strength to bear the loss. We cannot question God but submit to his will particularly giving the fact that the deceased lived a fulfilled life leaving behind positive testimonies”

Lalong on behalf of his colleagues extended the deep condolences of the Governors of the 19 States who he said have continued to be touched positively by the professionalism and patriotism of one of the sons of the deceased, Hamza Idris who is the Editor of the Daily Trust Newspaper and is passionate about the development of the Northern Region and Nigeria as a whole.
