The Plateau State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) today constituted 9 (nine) standing committees in addition to the two Committees set up two weeks ago to help in achieving the blueprint of the present Executives.

The Public Relation Officer of the Plateau State Chapter of NMA, Dr. Chomo Datiyi said the inauguration was done in three (3) batches in full compliance with the COVID-19 Health protocols and guidelines.

He posited that as health Professionals, they did so to practice what they preach to the people as regards COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the globe.

The NMA Chairman, Dr. Innocent Emmanuel and Members of the State Officers Committee Inaugurated the Nine (9) additional Committees with terms of References.

The Welfare, Business and CME Committees were Inaugurated at 1pm.

The Media and Public Health, Phyto and Traditional Medicine, Health Legislation Committees were Inaugurated at 2: 00pm.

The last set of Committees that were Inaugurated at 3:00pm were; Interprofessional Harmony, Research and Publication Advancement and Sports Committees.

The Chairman NMA Plateau State Chapter, Dr. Innocent Emmanuel appreciated the Members for accepting to serve in the various committees and charged them to put in their best towards the actualization of the agenda of the New Executives as well as transforming the revered profession and taking it to enviable height.

He urged them to bring their wealth of experience, skills and professionalism to bear in discharging their duties in line with their terms of reference.
