The State Officers Committee of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Plateau State Chapter paid a courtesy visit on the Chief Medical Director (CMD) Prof. Christopher Sabo Yilgwan today 29th February, 2024 in his office.
The Chairman of the Association Dr. Bapiga’an Williams Audu who was represented by the Vice president Dr. Aladeshuyi Ayo. He congratulated the CMD Prof. Yilgwan on his appointment as the Chief Medical Director of Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos.
He said Prof. Yilgwan was a past chairman of the Association, a mentor to so many of them and said they look up to him and they belief in his abilities to bring hope to hopeless situations.
The NMA delegation appreciated the positive strides already taken by the CMD in expanding the residency training programme and his keen interest in the welfare of the staffs.
Prof. Yilgwan in his response appreciated the the NMA Delegation and also highlighted the importance the Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s Administration has for the healthcare sector which is seen in the Governor ‘s approval of Health Hazard allowance, increased COMESS/CONHESS salary, approval of other vital Residency Programmes which was approved by His Excellency.
The CMD appreciated the the NMA Delegation and attested to continuing in line with the Trust on him. Prof Yilgwan also informed the NMA delegation that he is also open for collaboration/partnerships as government works for the people and must be able to carry people along to succeed.
He also informed them that he is open to advise from the association and call for their support to enable him succeed.
The heights of meeting was presentation of gifts, NMA journal and History to the CMD in company of his Management team.
The Director Administration, Mr. Jacob Dung Bot on behalf of the management team of the hospital appreciated the NMA delegation for the Visit.
