Former Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, David Parradang has called for the gradual disengagement of the Nigeria military in the north east region instead of an abrupt demobilization currently being underway to allow paramilitary and other security agencies taking over the terrain enough time to integrate and familiarize themselves with efficient strategic operational requirements for sustaining grounds recovered in the fight against insurgency in the country.

Parradang who was the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Plateau Central District during the 2019 general elections in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos lamented that considering the increasing number of abductions of Aid Workers who are impartial support workers including other innocent citizens, these incidences do not speak well of the country therefore, the Federal Government must network with all stakeholders and do everything possible to ensure their immediate release from captivity.
According to him, considering the complex and sophisticated nature of these military operations in the north east region, only a gradual and well coordinated disengagement process of the military couple with systematic take over strategy of well trained and equipped Para military personnel including other security agencies will sustain the intensity of the ongoing fight against Boko Haram in the region.
The former Comptroller General also expressed sadness over the unjustifiable abduction of another Aid Worker and Plateau indigene, Jennifer Ukambong Samuel by the Boko Haram sect and considering the fact that three other Plateau indigenes had been previously executed by the sect, government must do everything thing possible to ensure the release of the present Aid Worker and others in captivity in Borno State.

Parradang notes that the increasing menace of armed robbery, kidnappings and abductions in the country is a pointer to the fact that more needs to be done to ensure the safety of the citizens of the country wherever they are .
While identifying with the family of the Plateau Aid Worker, Jennifer Ukambong Samuel and relations of other citizens of this country held in captivity, Parradang expresses hope that the New Year will bring good tidings to their doorsteps concerning the anticipated release of their loved ones.
He prayed for a prosperous New Year for all the people of his constituency, Plateau State and Nigeria at large hoping that the difficulties confronting this nation will through the mercy of God come to a halt in 2020
