NCPC Will Continue to Expand Scope of Pilgrimage – Rev. Pam

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has said NCPC would continue to expand its scope of pilgrimage exercise by exploring more Holy Sites around the world. He disclosed this on 20th March, 2023 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja during a farewell address for the departing pilgrims of Plateau State and Kaduna for the 9th batch of the 2022 December pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan. He hinted that the Commission would soon embark on an exploration trip to Turkey to explore the Holy Sites in the Middle East Country.
The NCPC boss averred that he was proud of the landmark history the Commission had made by expanding the frontiers of Christian Pilgrimage around the world.

He explained that the current pilgrimage exercise which commenced last year December is quite different and unique because of the general elections. According to him,”pilgrims prayed for the success of the general elections and it was successful and after the elections some pilgrims were in the Holy Land to continue to pray for peace in Nigeria”.
He added, “if not for prayers the first batch travelled on 16th December, 2022 and this is the 9th batch”.

He stressed that the pilgrims stood in the gap for Nigeria before, during and after elections.
He urged the intending pilgrims to seal all the miracles for Nigeria in the Holy Land, stating that “no matter how ugly the election may look like, something good will come out of it”.
Rev. Pam admonished them to be good ambassadors of Christ and conduct themselves decently. He said he was excited to see these number of Christians embarking on pilgrimage at a time like this.
He affirmed that Plateau State had very good record in Israel and should keep it up by avoiding anything that would tarnish the image of the state and the country.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary Plateau State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Fr. George Gorap commended the Governor of Plateau State, RT. Hon. Simon Lalong for the sponsorship of the intending pilgrims. He equally lauded the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Dr.Yakubu Pam for his support and visionary leadership.
He described pilgrimage as a uniting factor as it brings Christians of different denominations together. He described pilgrimage as spiritual and developmental.
The 9th batch of intending pilgrims to Israel and Jordan were made up of Plateau and Kaduna State, including self sponsored pilgrims.
