NAEC Applauded by Chief of Army Staff for Meeting the Educational Needs of the Army

The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya has applauded the Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC) for her roles in meeting the educational needs of the Nigerian Army and the country. The COAS disclosed this at the Combined First and Second Quarter Conference 2022 holding at the Nigerian Army Institute of Science, Education and Technology (NAISET) Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin today 27 June 2022.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) represented by the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen Gold Chibuisi noted the efforts of NAEC in providing the educational needs of the army through the establishment of Command Secondary Schools and other schools in the country and urge them to do more especially now that the country is battling insurgency and insecurity. He implored the Corps commander not to rest on his oars in actualizing those well meaning strategies as the Corps professional roles.

Speaking on the theme: Advancing Education Amidst Nigeria’s Security Challenges: The Place of Nigerian Army Education Corps” the COAS stated that the conference was timely and necessary in view of the security challenges facing the country.

Earlier, the Corps Commander Nigerian Army Education Corp Maj Gen Mohammed Augie while given his remarks said ” the ongoing repositioning of the Corps for better service delivery is a modest efforts which are yielding positive results to conform with the COAS vision .

The event was attended by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kwara State represented by Secretary to the State Government Prof Mamman Shaba Jibril, senior officers both serving and retired of the Corps, Commandants of Nigerian Army schools, Directors of Division Education Services as well as other officers of the Corps.
