In commemoration of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2024, the President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) and Wife of the Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Mrs Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja on Friday 5th July, 2024 extended humanitarian interventions to sicks persons, expectant Mothers and those who have put to bed at the 3 Division Nigerian Army Medical Facility.
The gesture was to provide them with items they need and financial support to assist them in addressing some of their medical needs. The NAOWA President flanked by other National and 3 Division Executives visited the Paediatric, Maternity, Male and Female Wards to encourage and empathize with the Patients delivering material gifts and financial support to them.
She later visited Widows of Army Personnel who died in active service to the Nation where she presented foodstuffs, ingredients and cash to support them. She admonished them to put their trust in God at all times. She took time to pray with them and encouraged the Widow.
She also had an interface with Wives of Soldiers were she emphasized the need for them to always pray for and be supportive to their Husbands as well as build their capacities to be useful to their homes, the Nigerian Army and the Nation at large. She reiterated her unwavering commitment to remain supportive to the Women. She commended the Nigerian Army for the support given to NAOWA to carry out projects and other People-oriented activities.
The Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2024 is taking place in Plateau State to commemorate the 161 Years of existence of the Nigerian Army and featuring numerous activities including Civil Military Cooperation such as the commissioning of projects across Plateau State and Medical Outreaches with the aim of significantly improving civil-military relationship.
