The mupun youths movement has set up an independent electoral Committee to conduct elections and foresee the Smooth transition of power from the the out going leadership whose tenure is coming to an end soon to the new leadership.
The electoral Committee was set up during the MYM congress which took place on Saturday the 8th of September 2020 at the Jing Committee hall and in accordance with the constitution of the MYM.
In a statement issued to ViewpointNigeria by the President of the association comrade Longul Dakwom, the general congress unanimously set up the Committee to capture individual each from the 8 Mupun villages for fairness and equal representation.
The congress set up a 9 man committee to include ;

1. Vincent Manji Danat – Chairman
2. Aristakus Nanfwang – Secretary
3. Nanbal La’azarus Daniyop – Public Relations Officer
4. Nanapan Gwanle – Member
5. Nanribet Anthony – Member
6. Waldi Dangsen – Member
7. Katlong Da’os -Member
8. Kwarkas John Alhamis – Memeber
9. Dater Pekop Dawar – Member

The congress also gave the electoral Committee terms of reference as follows;

1. Harmonise the provisions of the MYM Constitution and resolutions of the General Congress in order to prescribe nomination form fees and produce general guidelines for the conduct of the elections.
2. Convene the National Delegate Assembly to conduct the MYM Elections not later than the 31st day of December, 2020.
3. Initiate and Conclude the Handing Over process between the old and new NEC not later than 3 weeks from the date of the elections.
4. And to do such things as may be considered incidental or conductive to the attainment of the above terms or any of them.

The general congress also went ahead to set up an election petition tribunal to receive complaints after the election from candidates who may seek redress from the out come of the election.

The MYM president comrade Longul Dakwom also express hope and believe of all Mupun youths that the electoral committe and the election petition tribunal will deliver on their responsibility.
