Mupun community flags -off 6 months awareness campaign against drugs abuse

The umbrella body of the mupun people world wide, MUCDA the Mupun cultural development association today’s flags a mega campaign against drugs related vices
The flag off took place today, at Lankang, the headquarters of Mupun nation.
The MUCDA Nat. president, Chief Pedro Dafur intimated the gathering that the issues related to drugs is inimical to development of any community especially as the menace of drugs majorly affects the youth population hence, the initiative to wage brutal mechanism to combat drugs in Mupun communities.
Mr. Panshak Dawap the co-convener of the initiative while unvialing the blue print of the initiative outlines that the Campaign is build on the Christan faith, with the project name titled the “mupun project” which aim is to revive the integrity of the community through a vision govern on a drug free Mupun land. the project is to last from November 2019 to June 2020.
The awareness will target about 42 primary schools and secondary schools. the initiative also promises to establish drugs free clubs in schools
in his goodwill remark, the Mupun youths Nat. president comrade Dakwom Longgul commended the initiative saying that “I stand here to first appreciate the initiative to combat drugs because ” we” I mean my constituency are mostly affected unfortunately” the youth leadership is optimistic that the event will be successful as all the stakeholders involved…
The executive chairperson of Pankshin LGC,Hon Damap John while addressing the event, commended the initiative and laments the menace of drugs abuse in the LG, the chairman informs the gathering that the LG is thinking of a legal frame that will criminalize drugs related issues .
The. Miskom Mupun HRH Da, Fwangbring Walle in his special remark, appreciate the efforts of the MUCDA towards drugs eradication in Mupun. the paramount king laments the situation which he regrets is killing the destiney of many promising youths.
