The convener of Plateau Youth G-17 Peace and Progressive Forum, Dachung Musa Bagos has appealed to the federal government to intervene in the renewed killings of innocent villagers by gunmen in Jos and Barkin ladi local government areas of Plateau State.

In a statement in Abuja, Mr. Bagos urged the FG to investigate the root causes of the killings and proffer a lasting solution to the problem.

He described the recent attacks in the area over the weekend where many people were killed and others injured as unacceptable.

Mr. Bagos pleaded with youths in the area to remain calm and not to take the law into their own hands.

The Convener of the forum also wants the state government to take urgent steps to address the problem as youths in the state would not allow the area to slip into another crises.
