PDP SENATORIAL ASPIRANT, PLATEAU SOUTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT
As an opening ploy to this profiling, this takes guidance from the fact that men are celebrated and immortalized for their roles in affecting humanity positively. Men can move the world when they take or are given the space to stand. This gives an introductory glimpse of our capable and dependable Aspirant Mr. Dawam Chrysanthus fcna.
It is politic to go down memory lane to ascertain this unsung son of our time. Mr Chrysanthus Dawam joined the earthly pilgrimage on a day that the sun literary stood still way back on 1st August, 1966 in Doemak, Qua’an-Pan LGA of Plateau State, Nigeria. Dawam’s academic tale shows that he attended Transfer Roman Catholic Mission School, Doemak, from 1972-1978; Government Science School, Kuru, 1978-1983, and School of Preliminary Studies, Keffi-Nassarawa State from 1983-1985 for IJMB programme.
Consumed by a strong desire for further studies, the daring, dashing Dawam enrolled into the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria for his Bachelor of Science Accounting in 1986 and obtained B.sc Accounting in 1989. The life of great men like Chrys Dawam is a puzzling fact to the feeble minded. He joined Federal College of Education (FCE) Pankshin as Senior Accountant (funds management and budget) and rose through the ranks as Principal, Assistant Chief and Chief Accountant (funds management and budget) from 1995-2006. In 2007, his hard work paid off and was appointed Bursar of FCE Pankshin and the tenure was renewed in 2012 until he gloriously bowed out in 2017. This same year, the governing council of ANAN found him professionally worthy and bestowed upon him the enviable and prestigious award of a Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA).
Chrys Dawam’s life is an arduous path to greatness. This is evident in his progressive attendance of ANAN continuing professional development, workshops, seminars and conferences at different places on numerous topics which time and space cannot accommodate, but left in the archive of deeds. Chrys’ performance and impact won him plaudits around the globe; consequently, he received several honourary awards some of which includes:

Despite holding a position that was completely non political, Mr. Dawam paid tuition fees for many Students who were mostly at the verge of dropping out of school. He did that without publicising for the sake of cheap applause or commendation.
The unity of Plateau Southern Zone Students in FCEP was encouraged and further strengthened through some inputs by Mr. Chrysanthus Dawam.
The National Association of Pan Students, both FCEP chapter and the National body have lost count of the countless supports of Mr Chrys Dawam.
Thanks to him, NAPANS FCEP has a Students’ Hostel. A great feat that most tribal associations are yet to think of doing, talk more of daring to start.
As a landlord in FCE, most Students have benefitted from his benevolence, occupying rooms in his hostels without paying house rents.
As a handsome bachelor and in the pool of suitable suitors, he could not resist Nelly’s character and beauty and they had no option than to consummate their love which is now blessed with four children.
This certified Accountant who exudes calmness in difficult financial moments, loves reading, watching film, playing soccer and table tennis. Chrys believes that the eternal verity of life is impact. He is in tune with the fact that successful people don’t relax in chair, they feel relaxed with their work which helps them wake up with dreams and commitments.
