A group of Online Media Journalists and Social Media Influencers are in Borno State to assess the operations of the military (Operation Lafiya Dole) towards curbing the insurgency bedeviling the North Eastern part of Nigeria.

The Media Personalities numbering 40 landed Maiduguri International Airport this after and were warmly received by the military in Borno State.

This visit is an offshoot of seminar organized by the Nigerian Army Headquarter Department of Civil Military Affairs held across all geopolitical zones of the Nation.
The participants were selected across the nation to take part in the tour.

Receiving the visiting team under the leadership of Brig. Gen. E. A. Aladeniyi, Deputy Head of Army Public Relations of Operation Lafiya Dole, Colonel A D Isa welcomed the contingent and was quick to say the visit is to tour the operation areas of the Operation Lafiya Dole, assessment of their operations and to have firsthand information devoid of any form of unhealthy sentiments.

The team is expected to visit military formations in the State during the two-day visit.

Mr. Austin Peacemaker of Security Affairs Ltd underscored the essence of the visit saying it will give the Online Media Journalists/Media Influencers adequate knowledge of the ongoing war against insurgency. He said the tour is the first since the Military Formation codenamed ‘Operation Lafiya Dole’ started the war against insurgency. He said the tour will make them better informed at the end.

Participants said they are eager to visit the military area of operation to have reliable information from source.
