Defections Hit Local Government of Plateau Deputy Govenor, Prof. Sonni Tyoden.

Hundreds of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ampang West Ward, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State have announced their defection from the ruling party to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), saying they left because of failed promises made to the people in the 2015 election and bankrupt governance.

The defection took placed on the 12th of August, 2018 during the commissioning of the PDP office in Ampang West Ward, Mangu LGA of Plateau State.

A Chieftain of the APC, Engr. Dakwal Shadrach who led the defectors which includes seven (7) EXCO officials of the APC in Ampang West Ward said that they left because of the glaring incompetence of the Federal Government. They also stated that the Plateau State Goverment has done nothing much despite the huge revenue that has accrued to the State in three years, promising to work assidiously for the party.

On hand to receive those who defected was the leadership of the party in the State ably led by Hon. Benedict Shiknuhul the Vice Chairman of the PDP in Plateau Central Zone. Others include, Hon. Solomon Bulus Maren, Hon. Ayuba Burki Gufwan, Arch Samuel Jatau, Rt. Hon. George Daika, Senator Jeremiah Useni, Barr. Hon. Olivia Daziyam, Barr. Hon. Caleb Mutfwang, Hon. Monday Kassah, Nde Alexander Mwolwus, Rt. Hon. Istifanus Mwansat, Dauda Salama , Nde David Paradang, Hon. Bala Marke, Hon. Manasseh, Comrade Mangna Wamyil, and Comrade Fabulous Manji Cishak among many others who graced the occasion.

The defectors were warmly received and charged to collectively work with other members towards ensuring the party emerges victorious come 2019.
