Long Gamai Advocates for More Unity Among Sub-Gomai Groups

The Long Gamai of Gamai Nation, HRH Miskoom Martin Mudu’utrie Shaldas III, has advocated for a more robust means of unity among the sub Gamai groups.

Miskoom Shaldas III, made the call on Sunday October 27, 2024; when the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Gamai Bible Translation and Gamai Literacy Project, Nda Noetsen Kevin Kwaplong, led members of the Board and the organizers of Dedication, Presentation and Launching of the Gamai Bible and Literacy Project after the Thanksgiving Mass, organized by the Central Working Committee, led by Nda Kurnajam Joseph Ari; held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Shendam, Plateau State.

The Long Gamai commended the team, and stressed that the successful conduct of the event was a consequence of the unity exhibited the sub Gamai groups, emphasizing that the unity is key in whatever we need to achieve.

Miskoom Shaldas III, who was full of appreciation to the team added that the resilience, commitment, synergy and energy put into the program by members significantly brought out the best, and prayed that the organization of subsequent events of the Gamai nation should bring out this best attributes of the Gamai nation.

The paramount ruler called for the review of the many cultural festivals within the Gamai nation, with the view to strengthen the Gamai unity and at attracting maximum participation from both the Gamai and invited guests.

He noted that the glamour of the several festivals are almost lost, if in a day, about 4 to 6 Gamai sub groups hold their cultural festivals on the same day.

Miskoom Martin Mudu’utrie Shaldas III reaffirmed his total support to the team and urged them to ensure the the completion and the production of the old Testament; as well as strengthen its mechanism towards the Gamai Literacy Project, in order to facilitate and develop the Gamai language, for especially the young generations and those who hardly understand nor speak the language.

The Chairman of the board of Trustees, Nda Noetsen Kevin Kwaplong, said they were in the Palace to appreciate the Long Gamai, Miskoom Shaldas III, for his tremendous support to towards the success of the program.
