In the message signed by state Information and Communication Commissioner Yakubu Datti,Lalong said as a Democrat and beneficiary of democracy, citizens should freely make their choice.

He however said this should be done under a peaceful atmosphere.
The governor said the state is on a trajectory of growth and development and therefore want citizens to vote in furtherance of that goal.

Governor Lalong who expressed satisfaction with security arrangements for the polls ask those who do not have anything to do with the election to stay clear of the state.
He commended the state judiciary for setting up the state local government election tribunal and that of appeal to address any petition that may arise from the polls.

The governor asks any contestant who may feel dissatisfied with the outcome of the polls to seek redress at the tribunals rather than resort to self help.
