Chairman Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau state Hon. Rims Nimchak ,has offered free Medical Outreach to over 17,000 Residents of the local government .

Speaking at the closing of the exercise at the weekend , Rims said the gesture was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of less privileged ones in the council .

He said a lot of poor people could not access facilities that would give them good health care, hence, the rationale for his intervention.

He said that free medical outreach which lasted for a week is the second in the series and organised by the the Council in partnership with Eden Compassion and Health.

Rims said “the APC led government is determined to provide quality healthcare Services to the people of the Area. “During our campaigns we vowed to provide free Medical services to our people and we are now fulfilling this promises with the little resources we have”.

“The APC led Government is determined to touch the lives of the downtrodden in the society”he added.
“What we have been doing in the past one week is simply to support the less privileged ones in the LGA to have good health care service to enable them live long,” .

“We decided to go into Medical Outreach whereby we go to the suburbs to reach out to people,” thousands of residents have benefitted from the programme “. He added.

Mr .Rims said ” Several Medical Doctors, Optometrists and Laboratory Technicians participated in the outreach, “

Mr. Rims further pledged to improve the standard of Education in his Local Government and boost Agriculture as well as provide dividends of democracy to the people, .

He said that The exercise was conducted under strict compliance of the covid 19 protocol and regulations .

Rims who commended the Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong for his efforts in revamping the health sector in the state further called on citizens to adhere the laid down guidelines in halting the spread of the Covid 19 virus .

“,Governor Simon Lalong is doing excellently well and i call on people of the state to support him at all times .

Chief Medical Director of Eden Compassion and Health Missions International , Dr Dinfa Longbap, appreciated the Chairman of the council for working with the organization to put smiles on faces of the down trodden.

He said that over 17,045 persons benefited from the outreach and urged the council boss to sustain it .

A beneficiary of the Free Medical Outreach Polka Adams thanked the Chairman for such a bold step to reach to the poor at their time of need.
