Langtang South Boss Bags Best Performing LGA Chairman in Plateau State

Chairman of Langtang South Local government area of Plateau state Hon. Rims Samson Nimchak, has been awarded the Best Local Government Chairman in Plateau by a group operating under the aegis of Plateau Regeneration Group .
Spokesman of the group , Pam Datiri in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos yesterday said the award was based on merit, adding that the group went round the the local governments in Plateau to physically assess projects carried out by the chairmen during their one year in office “At the end of that tour of the 17 local governments in Plateau Langtang south Area Council happened to be the best as we were able to see some viable projects,” he said.
The statement reads that “From our findings Chairman of Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau Hon. Rims Nimchak, is doing everything possible to tackle poverty and improve the living condition of the people of his LGA .”
Recently he provided soft loans to women and youths in our council to tackle poverty .”

“On assumption of office about a year ago, he did not joke with the issue of security, as he worked to ensure lasting peace in the local government , Langtang South LGA which use to be crisis ridden is now one of the most peaceful in Plateau.”
Rims also created a conducive environment for education to thrive and recently procured exercise books for primary and secondary schools students in his LGA”.
He also registered the Joint Admission Matriculation Board JAMB for over 300 outstanding students of Langtang south who performed excellently well in their WAEC results .”
Several students in various tertiary institutions are been sponsored by the All Progressive Congress APC led administration in his LGA . “
“In Agriculture he ensured that farmers get the best as before now farming, which is supposed to sustain the livelihood of people of Langtang south was hallmarked by post-harvest losses.” Crops rot away as farmers cannot get them to the market because of bad roads. The loss is debilitating, entrenching poverty. “Some food products never get to leave the farm before they experience spoilage, damage or waste while others happen during transport, storage and in the markets, the LGA boss is constructing roads in his council to enable that farm products are transported to the market without stress .”

The statement further reads that Rims has constructed so many bridges and roads in the LGA and currently building a clinic in Faya village and recently offered free Medical Outreach to over 9,000 Residents of the local government .”
