In his usual cheery and collegiate manner, Governor Simon Lalong participated in a novelty football match to mark Democracy day 2017. The match which was between members of the Executive and Legislative arm of Government, saw many commissioners and members of the State Executive Council lock horns against key principals of the Legislative, including the speaker, deputy speaker, erst while deputy speaker Yusuf Gagdi and several others.
The football match marks another “first” in Plateau, akin to the very successful concluded Jos 2017 Carnival. This match further consolidates the mantra that Plateau is open for business/entertainment and that peace has fully returned to Plateau state.
The match ended with victory for “Team SBL”, beating “Team Peter Azi” by 4 goals to 3.
