The Federal Government of Nigeria through the ministry of youth and sports led by Hon. Solomon Selcap Dalung has commenced the construction of a stadium in Mabudi, Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau state. This was confirmed to ViewPointNigeria by the special assistant to the minister Comrade Genshak Golak via text message. ”The idea of the stadium according to the aide of the minister is to encourage grassroots sports development and foster unity among the youths of Plateau state. The idea is commendable and this is a way of also bringing government nearer to the people so they can feel the dividends of democracy.” He said. When ViewPoint sampled the views of some of the direct beneficiaries, many were in high spirit and optimistic that the legacy would stand the test of time and write the name of Dalung in their hearts permanently. One of the respondents Nanlir Amos said ”I heard about the construction of a stadium in Mabudi through the effort of Hon. Dalung. This is commendable and we thank the minister for remembering us.” Another respondent Domichit Haruna said, ”With this development, will we ever forget the minister so soon? Certainly no” I love sports and the stadium will boost our sports skills and capacities”
