Senator Hezekiah Dimka has ensured that the National Emergency Management Agency visit areas affected by killer Herdsmen attack in his constituency where lives were lost and properties destroyed .
Perturbed by what he witnessed when he visited the affected areas of the dastard attacks, Distinguished Senator Hezekiah Dimka swiftly wrote to National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) in Abuja stating the level of damage that was inflicted on Kwatas community by killer Herdsmen on the 22nd of January,2020 where over 22 lives were lost and properties were burnt and destroyed and the previous attack at Kulben community of Kombun District of Mangu that claimed 12persons lives and one severely injured.
The Agency swung into action by relating a correspondence to the Northern zonal office in Jos,they liased with the State emergency Management Agency(SEMA) that submitted a report for assistance to the communities affected.
NEMA mandated the acting Zonal coordinator North Mr Eugene Nyelong to lead the delegation to Bokkos Local Government for an on the spot assessment to ascertain the quantum of destruction.
SEMA team was led by Mrs Dakwar Roseline as they toured round Kwatas to see the Impact of the Destruction .
While in Bokkos,The Executive Chairman Chief Yusuf Machen welcomed the team from SEMA & NEMA and bemoaned that over 25 lives were lost and people displaced for no just cause.
“God will intervene for us,Crisis is all over but this attack has no basis,
I can see the process as an agenda of genocide against my people, we shall keep on defending ourselves
Machen thanked Senator Hezekiah Dimka for his efforts in making Sure the federal government responds immediately by sending a team for Assessment through NEMA.
He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari who has been assisting Bokkos people through NEMA in times of crisis .
He appreciated the efforts of Governor Simon Bako Lalong through SEMA.
The team went round Ruboi,Marish,Chenget & Kwatas to take stock of all damaged properties to draw up a report to be submitted to the federal government for a speedy action to bring succour to those affected.
