JOS NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN BACKS PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT’S DECONGESTION OF JOS – BUKURU METROPOLIS
Hon Shehu Bala Usman, Management Committee chairman of Jos North Local Government says the decision of the Plateau State Government to evacuate refuse and decongest the Jos- Bukuru Metropolis is for the good of citizens.
Hon Bala in a statement he personally signed therefore wants all citizens in Jos North local Government to cooperate with the taskforce on the exercise recently constituted by Plateau state Governor and Chairman Nothern Governor’s Forum Simon Lalong through the Secretary to the Government of the state Professor Danladi Atu.
He said the evacuation of refuse, clearing of illegal traders and motor parks will improve the sanitary condition of citizens and restore the beauty of the city which is the heart beat of the State.
The Chairman expressed confidence that the exercise will enhance Security in the area and further create the enabling environment for citizens of Jos North to improve their social and economic well being.
Hon. Shehu Bala Usman assured that his administration will give the Governor Lalong led Rescue Government the necessary cooperation to succeed.
He implored all people of the Local Government to reciprocate the Rescue Administration’s recent “Operation Zero Potholes ” roads rehabilitation in the city centre which has not only renewed the face of the town but eased the transportation worries of citizens and enhanced businesses there.
The Jos North Local Government chairman implored officials of the traders association, National Union of Road Transport workers and other artisans in the city to impress on their members to move to designated areas for their businesses as will soon be provided by the Local administration.
Hon Shehu Bala Usman encourage citizens of Jos North to abide by the protocols on the coronavirus and maintain high level of hygiene to avoid falling prey to any disease.
