JOS COMMUNITY COVID-19 RESPONSE FOOD DRIVE:

Solomon Dangfa Kidney Foundation in collaboration with Jos community covid -19 response FOOD DRIVE organized by Rhoda Nanre Nafziger, Saratu Ghartey, Kekuut Hoomkwap and Oyenike Balogun-Mwangi donates Food items At JUTH:

Founded on the core values of honesty, dedication and service to humanity, the Solomon Dangfa Kidney Foundation (SDKF), has within the few years of its formation undertaken some far reaching interventions that has made modest impact in alleviating the suffering of people managing various forms of kidney infection in the north central part of Nigeria.

With the current Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world and the numerous steps being taken to mitigate the spread as well as providing palliative to less privileged amongst us, the humanitarian activities of the SDK foundation alongside six (6) other reputable NGO’s ( LYNX, Kaneng Rwang Pam Foundation, Jenta Reads, Simji Girl empowerment, Thinking cap Literacy project and Saphire Global), under the umbrella of “ Jos Community Covid-19 response food drive” recently gained the recognition, trust and support of the” Fundraising Team”, which mandated and supported it to carefully identify and distribute food items to over 600 households in Plateau State, in consistent with Covid-19 emergency intervention.

As an organization truly driven by empathy for common humanity, our foundation did not only seize the opportunity of such collaboration to reach out to the projected figure of over 600 household, we also elected to spotlight our interest on a peculiar group of people who are often overlooked – patients and their relatives in the hospitals.

To this end, SDKF distributed donated food items to patients and their care givers at the Jos University teaching Hospital (see Pictures), which indeed was a touch of grace, the beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude, as the gesture was rear to them.

We, as a Foundation, remain grateful to the members of the ‘Fundraising Team’ and their partners, the AACE, for their selfless donations and support. We also want to use this opportunity to call on the government and other good spirited individuals to reach out to the less privileged in the hospital.
We look forward to another opportunity to partner with you in lending a helping hand.
