A young Nigerian inventor, Zang Luka Bot has developed a high-capacity power bank from e-waste.
Zang, 27 achieved the feat after years of extensive research, he said.
Zang, the Chief Executive Officer of Zang Technologies, based in Jos, Central Nigeria said he was motivated by the need to invent new ideas as a prove that Africa has the potentials to cater for its needs.
The power banks designed and produced by Zang Technologies have 13000mAh capacity, with 5V/1A power input and 5V/1A output.
They are thought to have fast charging capability with USB 2.0 cable included in their packs.
The power banks are compatible with Smart phones, iPhone, Cell Phones, MP3, MP4, Bluetooth Headphones among others.
The device is expected to be unveiled today at Assemblies of God Church, Nyango 1, Bukuru Lowcost Jos by 1pm.
Other machines developed by Mr. Zang set for commissioning at the event include among others, Sand Sieving machines.
