JIGAWA STATE GOVERNOR’S AIDE ARRESTED OVER FRAUD, IMPERSONATION

An aide of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, Zakari Alhaji Sidi aka Zakari Kafin Hausa has been arrested.

Information has it that Zakari Kafin Hausa was arrested at Dutse Branch of Access Bank while trying to run from the police when he noticed that he was been trailed. He was arrested for fraudulent activities involving the collection of millions of naira from many innocent people, impersonating the former Minister of Foreign Affairs during Goodluck Jonathan Administration, who is also a Jigawa State Indigene, false pretence, criminal breach of trust and cheating.

He however used the money for his business and undertaking his house project using the money he defraud from the innocent people to fund, and also converting the remaining sums for his personal use with criminal intent.

Sources at the Jigawa State Police Headquarter , Dutse disclosed that Mr. Kafin Hausa is being detained in readiness to be flown to EFCC Headquarters in Abuja, for further investigation.

A political statesman from the State who craved for anonymity advised members of the public not to link the unfortunate occurrences to the State Governor, saying “Notwithstanding, the public is hereby clarified that Zakari Kafin Hausa was not sent by Governor Badaru to embarrass himself and the State government in a way as demeaning as such”.

His arrest should therefore not be linked or associated with the state or the Governor”!
