News hitting the ViewPointNigeria newsdesk suggests that Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has appointed Senator Jeremiah Useni as the first Chancellor of the neww Taraba State University, Jalingo.

The news of contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Mijinyawa, and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Jalingo.
J T Useni is a serving Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District in the National House of Assembly. Prior to being senator, he had an illustrious career as a military officer, culminating as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1998.
